As a senior designer, Kirsten’s superpower is her empathy. She loves having conversations with the people she’s designing for, seeing the challenge through their eyes, and building solutions around it. Her expertise is in health and human services work, most recently contributing to our team’s bold effort to enable same-day processing for benefits delivery in Michigan
Kirsten’s been championing human-centered design long before Civilla. She previously designed and led courses on the topic for the Henry Ford Learning Institute. Prior to that, she spent seven years working in public health–both on the research and analytics side, and in community engagement and policy.
Kirsten holds a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University and a BA from the University of Michigan. She’s a former Challenge Detroit Fellow and recent golf-lover. Outside of work, you can catch her at the driving range perfecting her swing.
